What we need
Thames Valley Hire Services only collects basic personal information about you which does not include any “special” types of information or “location” based information. However, this does include your name, address, identity documents, email etc. This GDPR privacy statement deals with this issue.
Why we need it
We need to know your basic personal information in order to provide hire, sales or repair services. We will only collect personal information from you that we need in order to provide and oversee these services.
What we do with it
All the personal data we hold is used for the provision of our service to you. We do not share it with any third party except to aid in recovering bad debts or to counter other criminality.
How long we keep it
Thames Valley Hire Services is required under UK tax law to keep your basic personal data (name, address, contact details) for a minimum of 6 years, after which time it will be destroyed. We will keep the information we use for marketing purposes until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive this information.
What we would also like to do with it
We would like to use your name and email address to inform you of our future offers and similar products. Thames Valley Hire Services does not share this information with third parties. You can unsubscribe at any time via phone or email. We will not use automated phone or SMS based marketing. However, we would like to send you important notifications occasionally.
What are your rights?
You may request to see this information and even have it corrected or deleted if you believe it is incorrect. If you wish to make a complaint on how we have handled your personal information, you can contact our Managing Director who will investigate the matter.
You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you are not satisfied with our response or believe we are using your personal information not in accordance with the law.
